The disability-inclusive employment resource directory was developed as a practical tool to translate lived experience into action. This directory, created by Autism Alliance of Canada and The Youth Alliance for lntersectional Justice, is designed to support inclusive hiring practices for Autistic and neurodivergent youth, particularly racialized and Black youth.
The directory was developed through an environmental scan of equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility practices; it provides guidance on workplace accommodations, inclusive communication, training approaches, and anti-racism frameworks. It complements The Myth Busters Project youth testimonial series by pairing lived experience with actionable implementation tools.
For employers, the directory serves as a practical roadmap to help address systemic barriers, reduce workplace stigma, and build equitable, meaningful employment opportunities. For job seekers, it signals a growing commitment to workplaces that are informed, responsive, and inclusive by design.
This work was funded by the Government of Canada's New Frontiers in Research Fund, through an IDEA seed grant.
